With just one week to go until the Scottish Skipper Expo 2026 in Aberdeen, the team at Breakwater Marine is gearing up for what promises to be an exciting and valuable event for the commercial marine industry.

As official FPT Industrial marine engine distributors, we’re looking forward to connecting with vessel owners, skippers, and industry professionals to discuss how our engine solutions can support performance, reliability, and efficiency at sea.

Representing Breakwater Marine at this year’s show will be Tom, Mark and Alex, all of whom are looking forward to meeting both familiar faces and new contacts across the two-day exhibition.

The Scottish Skipper Expo is one of the key events in the UK fishing calendar, bringing together leading suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers from across the maritime sector. For us, it’s a great opportunity to showcase the capabilities of FPT marine engines and discuss how we can support fleets operating in demanding conditions.

Supporting the Fishing News Awards

Ahead of the exhibition, we’re proud to be attending the Fishing News Awards, taking place the evening before the show begins. This is always a highlight of the week, celebrating the hard work, innovation, and achievements within the fishing industry.

This year is particularly special for us, as Breakwater Marine is sponsoring the Port of the Year Award. It’s an honour to support such a prestigious category, recognising the ports that play a vital role in supporting the UK’s fishing fleet.

Naturally, we’ll be cheering on our hometown of Brixham, where Breakwater Marine is headquartered. Brixham has long been one of the UK’s most important fishing ports, and we’re incredibly proud to be part of that community.
